DAY WOMAN IS ACCUSED OF SETTING FIRE TO HOME.(CAPITAL REGION)

DAY -- Sheriff's investigators have arrested a Day woman for allegedly setting fire to her home on Friday morning.

Firefighters from the Edinburgh Fire Department responded to a 9:30 a.m. call at 29 Park St., and found the house there engulfed in flames. They requested help from departments in Corinth, Northville and Broadalbin.

Later, as fire investigators were searching for the cause of the blaze, Saratoga County Sheriff's Investigator Michael H. Zurlo spotted Kathy J. Dake, 46, walking along Southshore Road near the scene. Police later alleged that Dake, who they said is one of the homeowners, started the fire in the living room.
