Qld: Woman bashed and raped in Brisbane
BRISBANE, April 27 AAP - A 19-year-old woman was viciously raped and bashed in Brisbaneearly today, police said.
A police spokesman said the woman was waiting outside the city's Botanical Gardensfor a lift around 3am (AEST) when a man dragged her into some bushes.
The woman told police the man grabbed her by the throat and bashed her head againsta rock, causing her to briefly lose consciousness.
A passerby found her a short time later and took her to the city police station.
She was taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital where she was being treated today for her injuries.
