SA: Independent still to decide who to support in forming govt
South Australian Independent MP PETER LEWIS says he's still considering which majorparty he'll support to form a government.
Mr LEWIS, a former Liberal, is one of four independents almost certain to hold thebalance of power following Saturday's election.
And he's the only one still to reveal which side he intends to support.
After meeting Liberal deputy leader DEAN BROWN today, Mr LEWIS says the Liberal andLabor parties have both given similar responses to a formal compact he wants them to agreeto.
The compact sets out an agenda for parliamentary reform, including a reduction in thenumber of MPS and a commitment to more sitting days for parliament.
Mr LEWIS is expected to announce his decision by 4 pm local time (CDT).
