PHOENIX -- Christina Black stuffed a kiwi fruit down her 88-year-old grandmother's throat, killing the old woman, police allege.

Police and Helen Gerstung's longtime doctor initially concluded the woman died of natural causes. But once Gerstung was buried, her granddaughter called authorities and told them what she had done, police said.
