NSW: Four charged after stabbing

SYDNEY, Dec 15 AAP - Police have charged four men following the stabbing of another
man during a fight in Sydney's west.

The 24-year-old North Parramatta man suffered a stab wound to his lower abdomen during
a fight between two groups of men.

The incident occurred in Isabella Street, North Parramatta, about 6pm (AEDT) yesterday.

A police spokeswoman today said the wounded man remained in a serious condition in
Westmead Hospital.

Police were hoping to interview him at a later stage, she said.

Four men - a 28, 31 and 34-year-old from Parramatta, and a 40-year-old from Auburn
- were today charged with affray and bailed to appear at Parramatta Local Court on January
23.

Police inquiries into the incident were continuing, the spokeswoman said.
